Ray Gshty (Public Opinion) newsletter Volume 6, Issue 11

On Tuesday, February 27, 2018 the 6th issue of Ray Gshty (Public Opinion) was published with a special theme focusing on elections:

The first page contains a journalistic report with the headline, “The Postponement of Elections in the Iraqi Kurdistan Region Has Become a Political Routine, Continuously Repeating and Recurrent”, that talks about the problems caused by the postponement of elections in the Kurdistan Region.

The second page evaluates two topics. First, Halsho Abdulfatah writes under the title, “Will the Parliamentary Elections Take Place?”. The second article is written by lawyer Omeid Hmarshid Mohammed Jaff, an expert on the scope of the elections, with the title, “What Will Happen in the Central Iraqi Council Elections in the Kurdish Areas Outside the Kurdistan Region?”

The third page of this issue of Ray Gshty is allocated to announcing some essential data and information about the upcoming Central Iraqi Council Elections, that is decided to be held on May 12th, 2018.

Civil society activist Farman Rashda authors one of the three articles on the fourth page of Ray Gshty, entitled “Low Voter Turnout and Confrontation Expected in the Upcoming Elections”. The second article on the same page, written by Gmo Muhammad, is entitled, “Decentralization In the Decisions of the Kurdistan Regional Government” and the third article talks about the content of the 10th Report of Observers of Pey Organisation on the Institution of Parliament.
