Democratic Discussion Activity DDA

This project started from1/3/2004to30/6/2004, it aims at facilitation of co-discussions among all social classes and the community members about the significant life affairs including politics, social, administrational and lawful affairs.

The presented topics in the sessions included: Political participation, elections, constitution, transparency, state responsibility, and Administrational corruption, the role of law, democracy, racism, national reconciliation, and democratic establishment.

Project activity coverage: Most Sulaimany urbane and rural areas; Pishdar, Halabjay Shaheed, Sharazoor, Penjween, Sharbazher and also inside Sulaimany;UniversityofSulaimany, the Ministries, the Peshmarga Headquarter. By the time 3/4 of the project were completed, 215 events were made in which 5222 beneficiaries were targeted, 3548 male and 2214 female.

Dialogue structure: facilitator, citizens, publication and Dialogue proceeding.

The average number of the participants in each event was 24 people from both genders over 18 years old. Every event lasted for two hours.The project cooperative partner and the donor (Triangle Research Institute RTI)
